Avigilon expands European team to meet demand for HD surveillance

The Avigilon high-definition surveillance solution has gained significant market share in Europe where high-profile customers such as Airberg Ltd, Associated British Ports, Bossard Arena, Celle Museum, Pan Nordic Logistics, and 20 Old Bailey rely on the Avigilon solution to better protect employees, customers, and critical assets. 

“The EMEA region, comprised of the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa currently accounts for 30 percent of our annual revenue and continues to grow every year as the demand for Avigilon’s high-definition surveillance solution continues to build,” said Alexander Fernandes, President and CEO of Avigilon. “The most recent expansion of our sales team in Europe will allow us to expand Avigilon’s footprint in this very important market and further accelerate our growth around the world.”

To meet the growing demand for Avigilon’s high-definition surveillance solution in EMEA and Latin America, Avigilon has promoted Pedro Simoes from Senior Director of Sales, South Europe, and Latin America to Vice President of Sales, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Reporting to Bryan Schmode, Vice President of Global Sales, Simoes will oversee Avigilon’s continued sales expansion in EMEA and Latin America, hiring new sales executives and recruiting new partners in both regions. 

An experienced security sales veteran, Dean Brazenall has been appointed Senior Director of Sales for Northern Europe. Prior to joining Avigilon, Brazenell was a member of Samsung’s senior management team. Previously, he was the head of sales for Bosch in the UK, where he helped establish the company as a leading player in the UK security market at the time.

A top performing account manager, Dave Small has been appointed the new Regional Sales Manager for the UK. In this role, Small will be responsible for managing Avigilon’s existing business and creating new sales growth in the region. Small joins Avigilon from ACAL BFI, a value-added distributor, where he served as Field Sales Manager for the Visible Imaging Division.

Avigilon has also promoted two of its top performing sales executives; Celestino Gheoni has been promoted from Director of Sales for Italy, Malta, Balkans, and Middle Europe to Senior Director of Sales, South Europe and Andrej Curakovic has been promoted from Regional Sales Manager of the Balkans and Middle Europe to Regional Sales Director for the same region.
