New app provides mobile access to Abus video surveillance recorders

The iDVR app for Android from Abus Security-Center enables convenient access to Abus video surveillance recorders. .

Video data from up to four analogue or network cameras can be seen and directly saved from the live view.

One of the main functions of the app is accessing up to 16 recorders that can be saved. In particular the app can be used for analogue as well as network cameras via the recorder. The user can even save images and videos from the live view and these can again be displayed in the full-screen view.

A further function is the ability to control PTZ cameras: this means, the user can comfortably zoom in or zoom out on the image if they notice something unusual even when the incident is taking place.

CEM awards EMEA partners

CEM Systems, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, has selected the winners of the 2015 CEM Business Partner of the Year Awards, EMEA. Elbit to acquire division of Nice for up to $157.9 M

Elbit Systems Ltd, headquartered in Haifa Israel has signed an agreement to acquire Nice Systems Ltd.'s Cyber and Intelligence division for a total amount of up to $157.9 million, subject to certain customary adjustments. Out of the total amount, $117.9 million will be paid in cash at the time of the closing, expected to take place in the third quarter of 2015, subject to certain closing conditions. An additional amount of up to $40 million will be paid as earn-out, based upon the future business performance of the acquired division's activities.
