Teleste has been awarded a contract to supply to SNCF (French National Railway Corporation) a centralised recording solution to be used for their video surveillance infrastructure. The project was won together in partnership with IBM France, who is acting as the prime integrator.
The centralised recording system in question has capacity to record 8,300 surveillance camera streams simultaneously, expandable to 35,000 cameras, which is one of the largest single recording platforms in use globally in video surveillance systems.
This system, which is comprised of IBM hardware and Teleste software, is a next evolution of the previously delivered surveillance platform to SNCF.
The value of this order exceeds EUR one million and it consists of software licenses and services for a duration of five years, with an option to extend by two additional years.
