TagMaster receives order for US metro

TagMaster, the leading producer of advanced RFID solutions for rail applications, has received a significant order to supply equipment to Ansaldo STS for use on a major metro system in the USA.

The initial order from Ansaldo STS, through its regional headquarters in the USA, is valued at 1.0 MSEK and is for TagMaster's Heavy Duty series of RFID readers and tags. The equipment will be used in conjunction with signalling systems being supplied by Ansaldo STS. The complete system will be used to automate the train identification process and improve operational efficiency of the end customer. The order includes customized software modifications from TagMaster, which provides customer specific functionally needed by the end user. TagMaster's HD Track Readers will be mounted on the tracks and the passing trains will be identified using a train mounted CableTag, which will be interfaced with trains onboard system.
