Viscount appoints new CEO

Viscount Systems has this week appointed Mr. Dennis Raefield as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective as of February 17, 2014.
Mr. Raefield has been a board member for Viscount since November of 2011. Mr. Raefield replaces Mr. Steve Pineau, who has resigned from the Company effective immediately.

"I want to thank Steve for his valuable contributions to Viscount over the past twelve years," commented Mr. Raefield. "Viscount's Freedom access control security technology is well positioned to continue to benefit from the convergence between cyber and physical security systems, and we plan to invest in our infrastructure and people to meet this demand."

Mr. Raefield has a thirty-five year career in the security industry in senior management roles. He was President of Honeywell Access Systems, a manufacturer of enterprise level access control systems for Fortune 100 clients, which grew to $120 million from inception. Mr. Raefield was also President of Pinkerton Systems Integration (now Stanley), a security system integration business installing video, access control and alarms to Fortune 500 clients, which also grew from $15 million to $80 million in three years during his employ. He also served as CEO of Mace Security, a provider of defense, safety and security products. Mr. Raefield holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and is a member of ASIS, SIA, ESA, ISIO, CAA, and CSAA.
