Counter Terror Expo 2009 to be held in London
London, UK
Counter Terror Expo 2009 will open its doors between the 10th and 11th of February 2009 at London's QEII. It will be the only major international exhibition and conference event of its kind to take place in the UK in 2009.

The event will focus on the continuing international danger of terrorism and will look at what can be done to tackle the threat and fortify state security. CTX 2009 is set to be an annual event encompassing a large-scale exhibition, high level conferences and a series of practical and technical workshops.

CTX 2009 is being launched by the international organiser, Niche Events. With six years involvement in the specialist security sector and the organising of the  worldwide TranSec (Transport Security) events, Niche Events brings experience and valuable knowledge to CTX 2009. Group events director, Peter Jones, says "Niche Events' proven formula creates an exceptional platform to provide business opportunities for exhibitors, visitors and conference delegates alike. Just two months since its launch, CTX 2009 has already confirmed over 30 of the industry's top brand names as exhibitors, which we feel reflects the need for such a unique and focused event."

CTX 2009 will offer a forum for senior buyers and specifiers to see the very latest available solutions to assist in the prevention of, protection from and pursuit of terrorists. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of products and services from over a hundred exhibitors, allowing attendees to meet suppliers within both an open and closed shop format.

75 of the industry's leading international speakers will gather at CTX 2009. They will have a vital role in garnering debate and helping to create solutions. The conference will feature multiple streams covering: Infrastructure & Utilities, Transportation, Large Scale Events & Venues, as well as Border Control & Immigration, Co-operation and Information Sharing.

Additionally, CTX 2009 will bring together a large international audience from a range of sectors including the Police, Home Office, Intelligence Services, MoD, Armed Forces, transportation, border control, civil defence, Customs and Excise, Central and Local Government, systems integrators.

The QEII (Queen Elizabeth II) Conference Centre is located in the heart of Westminster, opposite the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. This modern purpose-built venue offers the finest facilities for conferences and exhibitions. The central location of the QEII is well-serviced by all modes of transport. Heathrow Airport is only 30 minutes away, while both the Victoria and Waterloo mainline stations are nearby. The London Underground links from Westminster and St. James' Park are merely a few minutes walk away, providing direct access to the rest of London.
