Qsan enterprise class SANs at Essen

Taipei, Taiwan

Qsan Technology Inc, a provider of SAN and unified storage products, is exhibiting at Security Essen from September 23 to 26, in Essen Germany.  On the Qsan stand, the company will showcase its enterprise-class SAN portfolio for surveillance applications, including the Aegis SAN Q500, and Aegis SAN V100.

Designed to lower the total cost of ownership and enable increased availability and reliability, the Aegis SAN Q500 array features Intel's newest low-power SoC, said to be the world's first atom-based SAN solution with the benefits of increased energy efficiency. Supporting up to 700 cameras, the Aegis SAN Q500 is ideal for campuses, retail stores, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, and manufacturing facilities.

A cost-effective security surveillance solution for offices, museums, small manufacturing facilities and more, the Aegis SAN V100 supports up to 200 IP cameras and 192 hard drives, and offers easy-to-use management tools to do central management for all the surveillance systems.

The entire Aegis SAN surveillance series range, which not only includes the Aegis SAN Q500 and Aegis SAN V1000, but also the Aegis SAN LX use Qsan's exclusive offload engines (QISOE for ISCSI products and fcQISOE for fibre channel products) which applies dedicated CPU cores to process data packets – leading to enhanced file access and performance.

In addition to the Aegis SAN LX, Aegis SAN Q500 and Aegis SAN V100, during the Essen show period, Qsan will display a full range of SAN arrays for surveillance applications with rich features, including dual redundant design (controller, fan, power supply) to avoid single point of failure,  multiple RAID level protection-Hardware RAID,  fast rebuild technology saving up to 90% of time in case of rebuild,  backup battery module (BBM) to ensure data consistency during power outage, and snapshots, volume cloning, qreplica and volume restore.
