Video Synopsis technology partnership results in $0.5M Federal contract

Minneapolis, Mn (USA) and Neve Ilan, Israel

Rimage Corporation has shipped a $497,000 order for its new Video Synopsis systems to a United States federal agency. The agency will use the systems to enhance the speed and efficiency of surveillance video evidence review.
Rimage's Video Synopsis systems, powered by Briefcam, reduce the time and personnel needed for video review, incident isolation, and evidence distribution. By providing short video representations of longer time periods, Video Synopsis enables the rapid review and indexing of captured video footage for forensics and evidence discovery.

"Our goal is to enable law enforcement organisations to fully benefit from the surveillance data they record,” says Christopher Wells, Senior VP & GM Disc Publishing at Rimage Corporation. “With Rimage Video Synopsis systems, our customers can browse hours of video in minutes.”

Rimage is a minority investor in Briefcam, a leader in surveillance video technology. Rimage and Briefcam’s partnership has delivered workflow improvements to customers in the surveillance and digital evidence markets. Briefcam’s award-winning Video Synopsis technology is at the heart of Rimage's Video Synopsis system, providing new-to-the-world video analysis capabilities.

"We're proud to be partnering with Rimage, an industry leader in digital evidence solutions,” says Dror Irani, Briefcam CEO. “Improving management of digital evidence is critical to Rimage's law enforcement customers -- their Video Synopsis systems bring the power and efficiency of Briefcam technology to that market.”
