Designed for easy installation and setup, the Geovision SNVRs feature the capability to auto search for GV-IP cameras within the same LAN and the ability to customise configuration settings for each IP camera. In addition, settings for each SNVR can be stored onto a USB storage device to export settings to another SNVR to facilitate system setting recovery. Other useful SNVR features include the ability to set 1-10 seconds for pre-event recording and 30 sec for post-event recording, ensuring that each event video clip is valuable and complete.

In the newly released firmware version SNVR v1.1, GV-Control Center and GV-Edge Recording are both fully compatible to support central monitoring in a control room using a PC solution. Through this integration, an unlimited number of SNVRs may be monitored and managed remotely from a single location, making the SNVR an ideal candidate for security applications from small to large scale projects. To complete the SNVR integration with the Geovision Central Monitoring Software Suite, GV-VSM and GV-Center V2 will both be compatible in the upcoming version release to provide users with the most flexible installation. For remote access and monitoring of videos via web or mobile device, the SNVR supports smart device access (IOS and Android) through the GV-EYE application.

The SNVR0400 features a 1 bay 3.5" HDD for up to 4Tb maximum storage capacity and up to 50Mbps for 4 channels 1080P recording. The SNVR1600 alternatively features 4 bays 3.5" HDD for up to 16Tb maximum storage capacity and up to 100mbps for 16 channels 1080P recording.
